Brooke and Adam

Today's post comes with a twinge of sadness. Brooke and Adam booked their wedding with me a few months ago and I can honestly say that they are two of the nicest and enjoyable people to be around. Well, in the world of weddings things can, and do, sometimes change and such was the case with them. After some careful consideration, they decided that they wanted a destination wedding in Jamaica and cancelled all of their wedding plans for here. Never-the-less they asked me if I would shoot their engagement session and of course I was honored to do so. The temps here in Arlington have been outrageously hot and so we began very early on a Friday to beat the heat! Best wishes to you both on your wedding trip to Jamaica Brooke and Adam and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your engagement session! -Nathan

Helen and Aaron - Engagement

Helen and Aaron approached me about performing their engagement session at the Memphis Zoo. They picked a stunning day to do so. There are, ah, only about a gazillion interesting things to see at our zoo so finding points of interest was easy. Some of my favorite shots of the session came from the old merry-go-round we have there. Thanks Helen and Aaron! I hope you had as much as I did!

Patience and JR - Maternity

Well, I've had the pleasure of knowing Patience and JR for over a year now. I was fortunate enough to have them fly me to Jamaica last year to photograph their wedding, I've photographed Patience's business promotional shots for her business but today was the best yet. It's an incredible feeling to be with two people during their most precious moments. This session, taken in our new studio, was very inspiring for me. Patience makes a beautiful mother-to-be and JR already looks like a beaming dad. THANK YOU both for once again sharing your most special moments with me.

Elijah

Today we had the opportunity to photograph our youngest subject yet - 5 week old Elijah. After a "wet" beginning (ha ha) things went very smoothly for everyone. Elijah's mom and dad were just beaming and we had a great time capturing this little guy's expressions. I'm looking forward to seeing him grow this year. Thank you Ted and Alaine for sharing your little bundle of joy with me. It was a very memorable session.

Brooke and Grant - Engagement

After 2 or 3 session cancellations due to inclement weather, I finally got a chance to hook up with Brooke and Grant to photograph their engagement session. The day was picture perfect, if a little windy. Thanks guys!

Business Headshots

Natasha and Patience approached me to make some promotional photos for their new business: The Money Coach. You may remember Patience and Natasha both from our trip to Jamaica last year. This was my first shoot in my new studio and we had a lot of "fun" making these promo shots. Thanks ladies!

LaFrance and Shelton

Wow! What a day! LaFrance and Shelton are two of the nicest and charismatic people I've ever met. This young couple selected our new Urban Engagement Session and we spent two incredible hours on photo safari with them. I love the results and am happy to report that they loved them too. Thanks LaFrance and Shelton!

Brittany and Taylor's Engagement

We had SO much fun with Brittany and Taylor. These guys were hamming it up with us! The weather was picture perfect (pun intended). Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Jennifer and Lee's Wedding

Jennifer approached me a few months back and said that she, and groom Lee, were having an intimate wedding in the heart of Bartlett. The day turned out perfect and their friends and family were a blast! Immediately after the wedding, the couple headed off to Huntsville, AL. Turns out that Lee, is actually a rocket scientist. Thanks for a wonderful day Jennifer and Lee. To the moon!!

Lydia and David's Wedding

Lydia and David came to me through a friend and I can't begin to tell you how sweet, and quiet and laid back these two are. Their wedding day brought freezing rain all day but that did not deter us one bit from making the best of it. They are very close with their wonderful friends and it showed. The reception had an incredible band and I can tell that this couple is made for each other! Thanks Lydia and David!

LaTasha and Neval's Wedding

LaTasha and Neval are two good looking people on the inside and out. I'm telling you they made my job so easy. This wedding was held in Mississippi on Valentine's Day and the weather was perfect. Their family was incredibly great to work with and LaTasha and Neval staged their own song and dance routine at the reception. What a great couple! I had so much fun working with them! Thanks for inviting me into your world LaTasha and Neval!

Baby Nate - 9 months

I've been photographing Nate since he was three months old and I can tell you that God is soooo good to me for giving me the opportunity to be a photographer. Wow. It's so special to be apart of a child's life and watch him (in this case) grow. Nate took a few minutes to warm up to me but after a chorus of "shake shake shake your peanut!" sung by his mom, we were all smiles :-)

Senior Session with Donna

Donna came to me through a mutual friend and told me that she wanted photos that were fun and youthful but she also wanted some dramatic photos as well. I think we captured both in this session. To differentiate the two styles, I elected to use black and white photos for the more "grown up" scenes and let her be herself in the color shots. This gave us two completely different looks and I'm not sure which of us had more fun with this session!
